About DRAQ 9

DRAQ9 from Biostatus is a cell-permeant, fluorogenic nucleic acid stain that has an excitation peak at 653 nm and an emission peak at 697 nm when intercalated with dsDNA. DRAQ5 has a high-affinity for dsDNA and is used to counterstain live or fixed cell nuclei. It binds DNA stoichiometrically so can be used to quantitate nuclear DNA content for ploidy or cell cycle analysis. DRAQ dyes are manufactured and sold by Biostatus.
